Sifu,
Yesterday's gun disarm clinic was very good, and I learned a lot from it. I took an edged weapons clinic some time ago
(at the old school) and learned a lot from that too. I would like to see more of such clinics, since it is good to see these
types of things several times, and it is hard to practice a lot of these techniques unless you have a partner.
I would also like to see some of these types of clinics offered once or twice a year ( to reinforce learning and for those
who were not able to attend the first time):
gun disarm
disarm/defence against edged weapons
how-to on improvising weapons from your surroundings (rolled up magizine, etc.)
In addition, since you have experience/training in so many different martial arts, I think there might be interest in clinics on
other types of martial arts. I'm thinking of the Muay Thai two day session that was given recently (I wanted to but was not able to attend). What I'm talking about would not necessarily be a two day session- say a 3 hour clinic to give basics, and then if there
were a lot of interest in a particular style, a later two day 'training camp'. This type of 3 hour clinic on a particular style (basic stances, how they punch/kick, how they would handle say, the JKD 1-2 series) might be given every other month, or every 3 months.
All this would be a lot of extra work for you, but I know I would attend as many of them as I could. Thanks,
Kevin
